See The Films

2021 Sailing Film Festival

The Third Annual Sailing Film Festival was help virtually on December 12th, 2021. With so many incredible submissions (nearly double the amount of last year!), it was very difficult to choose the winners.

The Oregon Youth Sailing Foundation Board of Directors voted on a scale from 0-5 for each of the following categories and the winners were chosen based on their total score. Each category had 1st, 2nd and 3rd place cash winners of $1000, $500 and $250, respectively, plus a social media prize of $250.

Hats off to all who submitted. All of the entrants should be extremely proud. We are thrilled to see the yearly growth of this competition and can’t wait to see next year’s results. Enjoy the films!

2020 Sailing Film Festival

The Second Annual Sailing Film Festival went virtual and we changed some of the rules, but we also really upped the ante on the prizes. The Grand Prize for ALL contestants was $1,000 cash! On top of that, both age categories had 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners ($250, $150 and $100 prizes, respectively).

This was a short film competition for youth 25 and under split into two age categories; Juniors under 15 and Seniors aged 15-25. The only requirements were that the films had to incorporate the power of wind propulsion in some way, be 3-minutes or less, and be appropriate for all ages. Comedy, drama, action, thrillers, etc. were all accepted.

We had so many fantastic films this year! Hats off to all who submitted and congratulations to the winners. We were truly impressed by the quality of ALL the films.

2019 Sailing Film Festival

The inaugural Oregon Youth Sailing Foundation (OYSF) Sailing Short Film Festival Competition was a hit! On May 20th, 2019, a packed crowd at OYSF’s Benefit Day and Concert moved to the back of the Oregon Pubic House to view the submissions and vote on the winners. It was great to see such enthusiasm for both the adult and youth contestants. Top winners took home $250 while second and third place finishers went home with fancy Columbia Sportswear outdoor bags and a collection of Yeti mugs inside a nifty Yeti cooler.
